Szikszó is a Hungarian city in the district of the same name in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County .
Geographical location
Szikszó is located in northern Hungary , 15 kilometers northeast of the Miskolc county seat . Neighboring communities are Aszaló , Alsóvadász and Onga .
history
In the course of the Hungarian revolution of 1848/49 there was a battle near Szikszó on December 28, 1848 , in which the imperial-royal troops under Franz Schlik zu Bassano and Weißkirchen victorious against the Hungarian revolutionary troops.
