Onga is a Hungarian city in Miskolc County in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County .
Geographical location
Onga is located in northern Hungary , 10 kilometers east of the Miskolc county seat . The neighboring municipality of Gesztely is five kilometers east, the next town Felsőzsolca four kilometers west of Onga.

On July 15, 2013, the municipality ( Nagyközség in Hungarian ) was granted city rights.

Road No. 3605 and No. 3701 meet in Onga, and the main road No. 37 runs south of the village. The town is connected to the railway line from Miskolc to Hidasnémeti .
