Sajóvámos is a medium-sized Hungarian municipality in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County .

Geographical location

Sajóvámos is located in northeast Hungary , 10 kilometers north of the city of Miskolc , which is also the seat of the county . It is located near a strongly meandering tributary of the Sajó in the lowlands of the Tisza . Direct neighboring communities (also to the east of the river) are Sajósenye and Sajópálfala .
