Monte Plata is a province in the east of the Dominican Republic . Until 1982 the province was part of the San Cristóbal Province .
Administrative division
The province is made up of five municipalities :
- Bayaguana
- Monte Plata
- Peralvillo
- Sabana Grande de Boyá
- Yamasá
