Moritz Christian von Schwandes
Moritz Christian von Schwandes (* 1688 in Swedish Pomerania ; † March 23, 1760 in Alt Kolziglow in Western Pomerania) was a royal Prussian lieutenant colonel and commander of the 7th garrison regiment .
Life
Military career
Schwandes already took part in the campaigns in Italy, the Netherlands and Pomerania . In 1715 he was Premier Lieutenant in Infantry Regiment No. 3 (Anhalt-Dessau). Then he became the captain of the regiment. In 1723 he received his own company in the newly established Infantry Regiment No. 28 (Mosel) in Wesel. On May 14, 1734 he received his farewell due to illness. But on July 14, 1734, he became a lieutenant colonel in the service of the Princely House of Anhalt . He became the chief of a battalion from Anhalt and thus took part in the Rhine campaign of 1734. There he succeeded the partisan de la Croixto capture. After the campaign, the battalion changed to Prussian services, where Caspar Joachim von Wachholtz was appointed chief of the now garrison regiment No. 4 . Schwandes was transferred to the Garrison Regiment No. 7 (Bredow) as commander.
He had under King Friedrich Wilhelm I and Prince Leopold I served. So he accompanied Crown Prince Friedrich after his arrest in Wesel to his captivity in Küstrin .

Schwandes was married three times. His first wife was Friderike Christiane von Schenk († 1749 in Prenzlau, buried in Nieden ). The couple had a son and three daughters. He was then married to NN von Puttkamer from the Geseritz family. The couple had a daughter. His third wife became NN von Puttkamer from the Lindenbusch family, with whom he had a son.
