Moritz Otto

Moritz Otto (* 1988 in Düsseldorf ) is a German actor .

Life

Moritz Otto grew up in his native and hometown Düsseldorf. He was a competitive rowing athlete for 15 years . Since summer 2015 he has been completing his acting training at the drama school der Keller in Cologne , which he is expected to complete in spring 2019.

In the 2014/15 season he made guest appearances in the role of bricklayer foreman Paul John in Die Ratten (director: Volker Lösch ) at the Schauspielhaus Düsseldorf . From September 2017 he was a guest at the Wolfgang Borchert Theater in Münster in the resumption of the play Das neue Jerusalem , a commissioned work for the 500th anniversary of the Reformation . In the 2017/18 season he also appeared in the play Ghetto by Joshua Sobol at the Wolfgang Borchert Theater . With this production he also made a guest appearance in June 2018 at the opening of the private theater days in the Altona Theater .

Otto has also been in front of the camera for a few film and TV roles. In addition to short films, he had episode roles, u. a. 2016 and 2017 in the RTL production Unter uns as police investigator Bernd Thiel. In March 2018 Moritz Otto starred in a leading role in the television series In allerfreund - The young doctors ; he played the master roofer Robin Bäumler, who is seriously injured and taken to the emergency room. In October 2018 Otto was seen in the ZDF series SOKO Wismar in another TV series role as lifeguard Sören Holtmann.

In the hospital series In all Friendship - The Nurses (broadcast from November 2018), an offshoot of the series In all Friendship and In All Friendship - The Young Doctors , Otto played one of the main roles in the series, the passionate and ambitious nurse Darius Korschin.

In the five-part TV series Gipfelstürmer - Das Berginternat , broadcast on ZDF between April 2019 and July 2020 , Otto played one of the leading roles, the “ daring ” rowing and bouldering trainer David Marr. In the 6th season of the ZDF series Bettys Diagnose (2019), Otto took on one of the main roles in the episode as dancer and stripper Chris Bergmann, who comes to the admission ward for a check-up with a memory gap . In the 4th season of the ZDF series Professor T. (2020) Otto had one of the main episode roles as star soccer player Lukas Pommer, who is suspected of murdering a Cologne tabloid journalist.

Otto lives in Cologne and Düsseldorf.
