Morten Sæther (born May 13, 1959 in Lillehammer ) is a former Norwegian road cyclist and national cycling champion .

The 13-time Norwegian champion has always remained an amateur throughout his career, his greatest success being the bronze medal in the amateurs' road race at the 1979 UCI Road World Championships . At the Olympic road race in 1984 he only lost the bronze medal in the finish sprint against his compatriot Dag Otto Lauritzen .

Sæther celebrated his most successes in Scandinavian road races, bigger successes outside Norway were next to his bronze medal at the 1979 World Cup, a second place in the Tour of Austria in 1980, the victory in the Berlin four-stage race in 1983 and a stage victory in the 1987 Peace Tour in the he finished sixth in the overall standings.

Sæther was also a successful driver in the 100 km team time trial . In this discipline he was Norwegian champion five times in a row from 1978 to 1983 and in 1987. He was also a member of the Norwegian foursome at the 1984 Olympic Games, which finished tenth.

The Kongepokal (King's Cup), which is awarded for the best sporting performance at Norwegian championships, he received in 1981 and 1983.
