Vegard Stake Laengen (born February 7, 1989 in Oslo ) is a Norwegian cyclist .

Career

Vegard Stake Laengen drove at the end of the 2008 season as a stagiaire for the Norwegian team Trek-Adecco . In 2009 he received a regular contract with the Continental Team Joker Bianchi . In his first year there he won a stage at the Oslo Sykkelfestival, where he also came second overall. In the 2010 season, Laengen was fourth in the road race of the Norwegian championship. He was also able to win the overall ranking of the Giro della Regione Friuli Venezia Giulia .

For the 2016 season, Laengen made the leap into the WorldTour through his involvement with IAM Cycling . Since the team disbanded at the end of the season, he then switched to the successor to the Italian Lampre Merida team, UAE Abu Dhabi .
