The Municipio Huanuni is a district in the Bolivian Oruro Department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
The municipality of Huanuni is one of two municipalities in the province of Pantaleón Dalence . It borders in the north with the province of Cercado , in the north-west with the municipality Machacamarca , in the south-west with the province Poopó , in the east with the department Potosí , and in the north-east with the department Cochabamba .
The central place of the municipality is the city of Huanuni with 20,336 inhabitants ( 2012 census ) in the southwestern part of the district.

The Municipio Huanuni is located on the eastern edge of the Bolivian Altiplano in the Cordillera Azanaques , which in turn is part of the Bolivian Cordillera Central . The climate of the region is a typical time of day climate , in which the temperature fluctuations during the day are more pronounced than during the year.
