The Municipio Pocoata is a district in the Potosí department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

The Municipio Pocoata is one of four Municipios in the Province of Chayanta . It borders the province of Charcas to the north, the province of Rafael Bustillo to the west, the Oruro department to the southwest , and the municipality of Colquechaca to the south and east . It extends for about 60 kilometers in a north-south and over 50 kilometers in an east-west direction.
