The married teacher Pamela Smart is frustrated and dreams of a career in television. She applied for a job with the local TV station, but was turned down. Smart seduces her 15-year-old student William Flynn and persuades him to kill her highly insured husband so that she can get his life insurance. After the murder, she is accused of donating and brought to justice.
