NGC 2141 is a type II3r open star cluster in the constellation Orion in the northern sky . It has an angular extension of 10.0 'and an apparent magnitude of 9.4 mag.
The object was discovered by Edward Emerson Barnard in January 1883 and is also known as OCL 487 .
