NGC 2124 is a spiral galaxy of the Hubble type Sb in the constellation Lepus in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 126 million light years from the Milky Way and about 105,000 ly in diameter.
The object was discovered by Wilhelm Herschel on October 20, 1784 .
