NGC 2100 is the name of an open star cluster in the Large Magellanic Cloud in the constellation Swordfish and is around 170,000 light years away from us. NGC 2100 is 2.8 'in diameter and has an apparent magnitude of 9.6 mag. The object was discovered by James Dunlop on September 25, 1826 .
