Nadeschda Wiktorowna Torlopowa ( Russian: Надежда Викторовна Торлопова ; born November 23, 1978 ) is a Russian boxer . In 2010 she became world champion of amateur boxers in the heavyweight division .

Career

Nadeschda Torlopowa comes from the Kostroma region . She belongs to the sports organization "Youth of Russia" and is trained by E. Morosow and AW Koldorkin. She only reached the top Russian class at the age of almost thirty, and shortly thereafter also became the world's top amateur boxer in the heavyweight division.

The first result known from her is a 3rd place at the Russian championship of women in the light heavyweight division in 2007. There she lost in the semifinals against Albina Wascheikina and thus finished 3rd. In 2008 she started at the Russian heavyweight championship , which this year had its weight limit exceptionally at 91 kg (otherwise 86 kg) body weight. She won it over Weronika Bischirowa by breaking off in the 2nd round and lost in the semifinals against Irina Sinezkaja on points (26:38), which she again took 3rd place. At the international tournament in Stupino / Russia she then had her first appearance at an international event. There she played the final battle against the Şemsi Yaralı from Turkey , who became world champion in Ningbo / China that year and was defeated by just a few points (9:12).

In 2009 she was the first Russian heavyweight champion, defeating Zenfira Magamedalijewa in the semifinals and Daria Iwanowa in the final by breaking off in the first round. At the Ahmet Cömert tournament in Istanbul in April 2009 , she won over Swapna Priwa from India a . via Desislawa Lazarowa from Bulgaria by breaking off in the 2nd round, but lost again on points in the final against Şemsi Yaralı (5: 6). At the 2009 European Championships in Mykolaiv / Ukraine , she achieved the first major success of her career at an international championship. She won over Raluce Chis from Romania by breaking off in the 1st round and also defeated her two-time conqueror Şemsi Yaralı in the final by breaking off the 3rd round and thus became the new European champion.

2010 Nadezhda Torlopowa was again Russian heavyweight champion with victories over Anna Melichowa and Albina Wascheikina. She also won the two international tournaments, the Minoan Cup in Heraklion / Greece , where she defeated Anna Slowik from Poland in the heavyweight final in the first round by breaking off and at the Ladies Nikolayev City Cup, where she was Katerina in the final Shambir from Ukraine defeated by debit in the 2nd round. In September 2010 she succeeded in the world championship in Bridgetown / Barbados the heavyweight title with point wins over Joseline Munyua, Kenya (16: 1), Yuldus Mamutkulowa, Kazakhstan (17: 2) u. Li Yunfei , China (7: 6) as well as a demolition victory in the 2nd round in the final battle against Katerina Kuchtsel from Ukraine to win the world title.

In 2011, Nadezhda Torlopova surprisingly appeared in the middleweight division. She remained undefeated in this weight class. First, she won a Grand Prix tournament in Ústí nad Labem in March 2011 , beating u. a. Lidia Fidura from Poland (+1: 1) and the multiple world champion Maria Kovacs from Hungary (4: 0). In May of this year she became Russian champion, defeating Irina Potejewa on points (16: 9) in the final. In preparation for the European Championship in Rotterdam , she played a tournament in Nikolajew / Ukraine in September 2011 , in which she also won. She suggested u. a. her compatriot Swetlana Kossowa (16:13) and Anna Laurell from Sweden (14: 9) on points. At the European Championships, she won over Lotte Lien , Norway (7: 2), Anna Laurell (15:10), Lilija Durnjewa , Ukraine (21:10) and Nouchka Fontijn , Netherlands (13:11) and thus won Title.

At the 2012 World Cup in Qinhuangdao / China, she started again in the middleweight division. But she could not repeat the 2010 title win there, because she lost to Savannah Marshall from England in the semifinals on points (10:18). In London she won the silver medal at the 2012 Olympic Games after losing to Claressa Shields in the final .
