Nadia Moser (born July 16, 1997 in Edmonton ) is a Canadian biathlete.

Career

Nadia Moser comes from Whitehorse in the Yukon Territory and competes for Biathlon Yukon . She competed in her first international competitions at the 2016 Biathlon Junior World Championships in Cheile Grădiştei , where she was 47th in the individual competition, 19th in the sprint and 24th in the pursuit race. In the season, she reached tenth place along with Emily Dickson and Megan Bankes . A year later , the first appearances in the second-rate IBU Cup as well as at the Biathlon Junior European Championships 2017 in Nové Město na Moravě and at the Biathlon Junior World Championships 2017 in Brezno - Osrblie . The best result of the season was an eleventh place at the IBU Cup in Otepää . There she went in the mixed relay race together with Leilani Tam van Burg , Aidan Millar and Jules Burnotte . In the winter of 2017/18 it started again in the IBU Cup, in Lenzerheide and Obertilliach it reached the mixed relays with the Canadian team. In January 2018 she had her first World Cup appearance at the World Cup of the 2017/18 season in Antholz . There she was ranked 85th in the sprint after two shooting errors and thus clearly missed both the points and the qualification for the pursuit race. Shortly afterwards she took part in the 2018 Biathlon Junior World Championships in Otepää and achieved two top 10 placings with a ninth place in the relay and an eighth place in the individual race. At the beginning of the 2018/19 season she started again in the World Cup, but on the Pokljuka plateau and in Hochfilzen she was only able to classify in three individual races at the bottom of the field. In the relay race in Hochfilzen she was - together with Megan Tandy , Megan Bankes and Rosanna Crawford - 16. Back in the IBU Cup, Nadia Moser secured her first top 10 place - seventh place in the super sprint - after shooting cleanly in the sprint first victory in the IBU Cup. Shortly afterwards, she just missed the medal ranks at the 2019 Biathlon Junior World Championships in Brezno-Osrblie as fourth in the pursuit race. Shortly thereafter, she also took part in the 2019 European Biathlon Championships in Minsk , her best placement there was a 33rd place in the sprint. At the beginning of the 2019/20 season , Nadia Moser was a permanent member of the Canadian team in the World Cup. Her only placement among the points was a 33rd place in the individual competition at the 2020 Biathlon World Championships in Antholz. With a fifth place in Hochfilzen and a ninth place at the World Championships in Antholz, she achieved two top 10 placements in the women's relay.
