Nahitan Nández , full name Nahitan Michel Nández Acosta , (born December 28, 1995 in Punta del Este or Maldonado ) is a Uruguayan football player who is currently under contract with Cagliari Calcio .

Career

society

According to the club, 1.71 meters, according to other sources 1.72 meters tall midfielder Nández joined the team of Club Atlético Peñarol playing in the Cuarta División on March 28, 2013 . Since Clausura 2014 he was part of the squad of the first division team until he was quoted in February 2014 for training the professionals due to an injury misery. On March 1, 2014, he made his debut in a 2-0 victory over Danubio FC in the Primera División , when he came on in the 55th minute for Antonio Pacheco . In the rest of the 2013/14 season he ran a total of five times in the top Uruguayan league, he did not score a goal. In the 2014/15 season he was used ten times (no goal) in the Primera División and once (no goal) in the 2014 Copa Sudamericana . This was followed by 28 further premier league appearances (one goal) and five completed games (no goal) in the 2016 Copa Libertadores in the 2015/16 season . During the 2016 season he was used twelve times (no goal) in the league and once (no goal) in the Copa Sudamericana 2016 . In the 2017 season he played 20 times in the league and scored seven goals.

In the summer of 2017, Nández moved to Argentina to the Boca Juniors for a transfer fee of four million US dollars. Since then, he has met a total of four times in 16 league games.

In summer 2019 he was signed by the Italian club Cagliari Calcio . The transfer fee was 18 million euros and that made the Uruguayan the most expensive entry in the history of the Sardinian club.

National team

Nández has been a member of the Uruguayan U-20 national team , overseen by coach Fabián Coito , since March 2014 . He made his debut in the 3-0 win over Chile on April 15, 2014 and was in the starting line-up. He also played the international matches on May 20, 2014 and May 22, 2014 against Paraguay and on September 24, 2014 against Peru.

He took part with the U-20s at the U-20 South American Championship 2015 in Uruguay. Up to and including May 28, 2015 he had 24 U-20 internationals and one goal. He was then one of the selected players to represent Uruguay at the 2015 U-20 World Cup in New Zealand . The "Celeste" were eliminated in the round of 16 after losing on penalties to Brazil.

On May 19, 2015 he was appointed by coach Fabián Coito to the preliminary U-22 squad for the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto . However, he was not part of the final squad.

On September 8, 2015, he made his debut under Óscar Tabárez in the 0-1 friendly defeat against the Costa Rican national team in the senior team , when he came on in the 36th minute for Álvaro González . In total, he has played three full international matches so far (no goal). His last assignment for the time being is dated November 17, 2015.
