Watchmaker Eddie Kay rescues a family from a burning house. Colonel Taylor sees what he believed to be dead on the news and wants to kill him with the help of henchmen for fear he might one day remember his past life.

Eddie has thought someone wanted to kill him since the rescue operation and has nightmares. He can be contacted by Dr. Treat Anna Nolmar psychiatrically. She discovers that Eddie was trained as a CIA killer, a "Total Terminator," years ago under the leadership of Colonel Taylor , but can no longer remember it. He lives under the false identity because the real Eddie Kay is no longer alive.

The attacks on Eddie's life increase and Eddie kills some of the attackers. They also want to kill the psychiatrist so she won't speak as this program was illegal within the CIA. As they struggle to survive, they fall in love. Eventually they discover in their investigations that these killers want to kill the attorney general on behalf of Colonel Taylor because he is about to discover it all and they cannot risk that he will remember everything beforehand and see him with the psychiatrist . A race against time begins to save him.
