Nastja Antonewitch ( Russian Анастасия Андреевна Антоневич ; born October 13, 1989 in Moscow ) is a former Russian - German handball player . The 1.73 m tall right-handed woman was considered an all-rounder and could be used in all backcourt positions as well as on the left wing .

Career

Nastja Antonewitch started playing handball at TSG Emmerthal at the age of eleven and initially played in the boys' team. She later switched to HSG Blomberg-Lippe . In the final of the German A-Youth Championship 2006, she threw 13 goals (three of them by seven meters ), but could not prevent the 30:32 second leg defeat against TV Lützellinden . With the HSG, she made it to the Bundesliga in 2005/06 . In 2009 she went to the newly promoted Bundesliga SVG Celle , with whom she had to relegate again in 2009/10 . 2010/11 she succeeded as a master in direct resurgence. After she had to go into the second division again in 2011/12 , she signed a one-year contract with the newly promoted TuS Metzingen . In the 2013/14 season she ran for the Bundesliga club SG BBM Bietigheim . For the 2014/15 season she signed with third division HSG Pforzheim . From summer 2016 she played for 1. FSV Mainz 05 . After the 2016/17 season, Antonewitch ended her career for health reasons.

Private

Nastja Antonewitch studies educational science at the University of Tübingen . She comes from a family of athletes who came to Germany in 1993. Her father Andrej was handball world champion in 1993 with Russia , her mother Marina was a Russian long jump champion. Her younger brother Artyom also plays handball.
