Donauried |
4.25.006 WDPA: 320392
|
Asselfingen , Langenau , Rammingen The area includes the Westerried with the fishermen's farms. The actual Langenauer or Donauried is now a cultivated fen. Aided by the straightening of the Danube, it has been increasingly drained for a hundred years. The reed character is therefore only preserved in a few places. Agriculture and grassland farming dominate the whole area. The eastern part is already without trees or bushes. Even the original animal world is only represented in remnants today. |
