Bleichhäusle in Merklingen

Foundation of the coat of arms

Merklingen had an old bleaching house that was used by the guard for the laundry that was laid out on the lawn. Since this Bleichhäusle is an old landmark of Merklingen, it was used in heraldic correct form in the local coat of arms as the content of the coat of arms. The walled, round mountain in the base of the shield is supposed to symbolize the lawn and the laundry lying on it with its green-silver colors. For the sake of simplicity, only the green-silver color pair was used.
