List of landscape protection areas in Karlsruhe
There are 18 landscape protection areas in the Karlsruhe district . None of them extends beyond the city limits. According to the protected area statistics of the State Institute for the Environment, Measurements and Nature Conservation Baden-Württemberg (LUBW), 5,534.93 hectares of the urban district are under landscape protection, that is 31.91 percent.

Flood plain, mostly consisting of forest in which an oxbow lake is embedded. The conclusion is a large wet meadow. To the south, there are extensive orchards that are cultivated extensively. In contrast to this humid habitat is the flood dam that borders the area in the east. It is lean, dry and rich in plant species.
