NatWest Series 2003

The 2003 NatWest Series was a three-nation tournament that was held from June 26 to July 12, 2003 in England in one-day cricket . In the tournament, which was part of the 2003 international cricket season, teams from Zimbabwe and South Africa took part alongside the host . In the final, England beat South Africa with 7 wickets.

prehistory

The tour took place following the test series of Pakistan in England . Zimbabwe previously played a tour in England while South Africa had a tour in Bangladesh .

format

In a preliminary round, each team played against each other three times. There were five points for a win, three points for a draw or no result. Bonus points were also awarded. The first two of the group qualified for the final and played for the tournament victory.
