Natalija Tereshchenko ( Ukrainian Наталія Терещенко , English transcription Nataliya Tereshchenko ; born July 23, 1976 in Kiev ) is a former Ukrainian biathlete .

Natalija Tereschchenko lives in Chernihiv and is a sports teacher. She started biathlon in 1992 and made her debut in the biathlon world cup at the start of the 1999/2000 season . In Hochfilzen , she contested her first race with an individual and immediately not only achieved her first World Cup points in tenth place, but also achieved her best ever World Cup result. In the pursuit race based on it, she was 13th and achieved her third-best result. At the next stop in the World Cup in Pokljuka , Olena Subrylowa , Olena Petrowa and Tetjana Vodopjanowa added a second place in the relay race behind the Russians. In the overall ranking of the season, the Ukrainian was 36th. Tereshenko was unable to confirm these performances in the long term. In the two following seasons she achieved several results in the points, but these were becoming increasingly rare. The first major event was the Biathlon World Championships 2000 in Kościelisko , where Tereshenko was 17th in the individual and eighth relay with Oksana Hlowa , Tetjana Rud and Olesya Sharhavnina . Only a little later she went to Holmenkollen in Oslo at her first biathlon world championships and was used there in the individual, which she finished 12th. Also at the second and last World Championships in 2001 in Pokljuka she started in singles and finished 54th. At the beginning of the 2001/02 season Tereschtschenko contested her last races in the World Cup.
