Nathaniel Parker (born May 18, 1962 in London ) is a British actor.

Nathaniel Parker's parents are former British Rail Chairman Peter Parker and Jill Parker. He decided to become an actor at the age of nine. He graduated from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and became a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company .

Parker gave, among other things, the "Bassanio" in The Merchant of Venice , whose production was directed by Peter Hall , alongside Dustin Hoffman . He also played "Laertes" in Franco Zeffirelli's Hamlet and "Cassio" in Oliver Parker's version of Othello . He was seen as "Clive Healy" in the film Bodyguard with Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner and as "Master Edward Gracey" in the comedy The Haunted Villa with Eddie Murphy .

Since 2002, Parker has also been known to a broader television audience in the role of Inspector Thomas Lynley in the film adaptations of the Elizabeth George crime series . The series now consists of 23 films. In 2011 he was seen as Agravaine in the BBC series Merlin - The New Adventures .

Parker has been married to actress Anna Patrick since 1992 and has two daughters with her. He has a sister and two brothers - including actor and director Oliver Parker .
