Klingelbachtal nature reserve

The Klingelbachtal nature reserve with a size of 27.44  hectares is located west of Scherfede in the urban area of Warburg in the Höxter district . The area was designated as a nature reserve (NSG) by the Detmold administrative district in 2002 . The NSG is cut up by the federal motorway 44 . To the south, only separated by a path, is the Bleikuhlen nature reserve and the Waschebachtal .

The NSG has been part of the European bird sanctuary since 2004 (abbreviation bird sanctuary) Egge , under NR. DE-4419-401, in the Natura 2000 protected area system of the European Union .

In the NSG there is predominantly forest with the Klingelbach with its source area and smaller grassland areas. Most of the forest consists of the hornbeam and beech forest . At the Klingelbach there are brook ash-alder forests and alder swamp forests. Endangered animal and plant species have been identified in the forest.
