The village of Neimen is located in the middle of the Haarstrang and directly north of the Ruhr .

With the law on the reorganization of the district of Unna, it became part of the city of Fröndenberg on January 1, 1968.

The largest employer until 2002 was the company Kludi Armaturen , in whose halls the Spedition Huckschlag GmbH has been located since 2003.
