Westick is located east of Fröndenberg city center. The Ruhr forms the southern border of the place.

In 1901, Westick bordered clockwise to the west, beginning with the communities of Stift Fröndenberg, Dorf Fröndenberg and Neimen (all in the district of Hamm ) and Schwitten (at that time in the district of Iserlohn ).

history

On April 1, 1902, the municipality of Westick near Fröndenberg lost its independence when the municipality of Fröndenberg was formed by the merger of the previous communities of Dorf Fröndenberg , Fröndenberg Abbey and Westick near Fröndenberg .

In 1849 the community had 139 inhabitants. In 1895 there were 274 inhabitants.

The state road L 673 connects Westick in the west with Fröndenberg / Ruhr , Langschede , Dellwig , Geisecke , Schwerte , Westhofen and Garenfeld and in the east with Neimen , Frohnhausen , Bentrop and Wickede (Ruhr) .
