Ostbüren is a district of the Westphalian town of Fröndenberg / Ruhr , Unna district , with almost 900 inhabitants.

Ostbüren is in the northeast of the city. The federal motorway 44 crosses the north of the local area.

Neighboring communities

In 1967, Ostbüren bordered in a clockwise direction to the northwest on the municipalities of Lünern , Stockum , Siddinghausen , Bausenhagen , Frömern and Kessebüren (all in the Unna district ).

history

Ostbüren part in the establishment of offices in the Prussian province of Westphalia to the Office Fröndenberg in district Hamm . On the occasion of the city of Hamm on April 1, 1901, the district became the district of Hamm. After an area expansion in 1929, this was renamed the Unna district in October 1930 . On January 1st, 1968 Altendorf, Bausenhagen, Frohnhausen, Frömern, Langschede, Neimen, Ostbüren, Stentrop, Strickherdicke and Warmen were incorporated into Fröndenberg.

There are three district roads in Ostbüren :

  • The K 23 leads to Kessebüren in the west and to Bausenhagen and Bentrop in the east .
  • The K 24 leads in the north to federal highway 1 near Stockum and in the south via Hohenheide to Fröndenberg.
  • The K 26 connects the Ostbürener with Frömern.
