The Franconian Marienweg runs through Neubauhof .

history

The place name of the farm is closely linked to the nearby Speckfeld Castle . A farm yard was responsible for the administration of the castle property. The sack yard was initially located here, but it was abandoned before the 17th century. The new courtyard became its successor in the second half of the 17th century.

The Neubauhof was first mentioned in 1686. At that time the estate was assigned to the village of Einersheim and the “New Building” was managed by the farmer Leonhard Rescher. Around 1700 the homestead was only called “Hof” before it was mentioned again in 1701 as the “new building”. At that time it was owned by the manorial farmer Elias Henninger. In an invoice from 1716, the "Newe Hoffbaw" was listed below Speckfeld Castle.

The complex was described in detail in 1739. It was a large courtyard with chambers for the rulers. However, these were mainly used by the so-called Feldvogt , an administrator, and the castle field farmers and their servants. In 1739 the farm was owned by the Limpurg taverns and is said to have been built by the last offspring of the Sontheim line, Vollrath.

Between 1739 and 1769 there was a change of ownership and the Würzburg and Bamberg monasteries jointly came into the possession of the farm, which in 1791 was called "Neühof". In 1799 the new courtyard consisted of two homesteads. In the 19th century, after the dissolution of the Hochstifte, the court came into private hands. In 1834, for example, the landlord Count Rudolph von Rechteren-Limpurg sat on the farm. He had acquired the farm on December 7th, 1812 from Possenheim post holder Sebastian Arnold.
