The Neubrunn is a small river in the Thuringian Forest at the interface to the Thuringian Slate Mountains in the Hildburghausen district . It rises on the northwestern edge of the district between Altenfeld and Gießübel .

From there it flows through the districts of Gießübel and Oberneubrunn in the Schleusegrund community in a south- westerly direction , until it finally flows into the lock from the left at the town hall in the Untereubrunn district .
