Neues von Gott is the fourth solo album by German rapper Favorite . It was released on January 23, 2015 via the Düsseldorf record company Selfmade Records . It is distributed by Universal Music .

background

After the release of his album Christoph Alex in the spring of 2011, Favorites became more addicted to drugs, which he said he got worse over two years. In addition, there was a separation from his partner. Because of drug consumption, Favorite was finally admitted to psychiatry . As a result, he did not record any music for a long time. In addition, Favorite interrupted his artistic activity because he first wanted to experience things that he could process textually. In this way he tries to avoid the constant repetition. The previously earned money also ensured that the rapper had no ambitions to record songs. His label Selfmade Records didn’t let him down because of his longstanding bond and investments in his career favorites.

In the course of the album production, pieces with Kollegah and 257ers , who are also contractually bound to Selfmade Records , as well as Jason and Luthifah were created. In an interview, Favorite stated that he started as a rapper at the same time as Luthifah. At that time, Luthifah motivated him to record hip-hop music. By working together he now wants to motivate Luthifah in return. The album release was announced on October 23, 2014. The track list was announced at the end of December.

News from God appeared as a Standard Edition and iTunes Edition as well as in a "Limited Deluxe Box". At the beginning of November 2014, Europe's most important man, the first video release of News from God was released . In this, Favorite wears a Wehrmacht uniform and was included in private video recordings of Adolf Hitler, which in some cases met with criticism. Favorite can not be seen in the video for Self-Made Legends because he was arrested for violating his probation requirements shortly before the video began to be shot .
