Nevena Ignjatović (born December 28, 1990 in Kragujevac ) is a Serbian ski racer . It is particularly successful in the slalom and combination disciplines .

biography

As a 15-year-old Ignjatović began to participate in FIS races in January 2006 , the first victory at this level she achieved a month later. For a few years she mainly competed in the relatively weak races in Southeast Europe. In February 2009 she took part in the Universiade in Harbin , where she missed the bronze medal in the Super-G by two hundredths of a second. She made her debut in the European Cup in December 2009 and on January 17, 2010 she competed in the World Cup for the first time, where she was eliminated in the first run of the slalom in Maribor . Her best result at the 2010 Winter Olympics was 32nd place in slalom. At the Universiade 2013 in Trentino she won the slalom gold medal.

Ignjatović was a participant in the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi , where she finished 28th in the giant slalom. Over five years after her World Cup debut, Ignjatović won World Cup points for the first time on March 1, 2015, with place 27 in the combination of Bansko . In winter 2015/16 , the 26th place in the combination of Soldeu was her best World Cup result, in winter 2016/17 the 19th place in the slalom of Zagreb . On January 26th, 2018 she surprised with 6th place in the combination of Lenzerheide (also her best World Cup result so far). In the same discipline, he finished 14th at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang .
