Nick Mancuso (born May 29, 1948 in Mammola , Calabria , Italy ; actually Nicodemo Antonio Massimo Mancuso ) is a Canadian actor .

Career

Nick Mancuso spent the first years of his childhood in his native Italy. In 1956, his parents emigrated to Toronto , Canada, along with him and his sister .

He first encountered acting while attending high school and quickly developed an in-depth interest in acting. By taking on one of the leading roles in the play Hamlet , which was produced at the high school , he was able to gain practical experience. Despite his keen interest in acting, he decided to study psychology and completed his training in this field at the University of Guelph .

His professional acting career began in the early 1970s with engagements in various Canadian theater groups . In the mid-1970s, several executive producers from Universal Studios and the American Broadcasting Company (ABC) became aware of Mancuso. After minor roles in film and television productions, he took on his first leading role in the television production Dr. Scorpion .

Until 2006 he had worked in around 100 film and television productions. He should be known to German viewers primarily through the TV series Stingray , in which he played the leading role in 22 episodes.

Private

Nick Mancuso is the oldest of five siblings; he has two brothers and two sisters. He was married to Patricia Hope from 1981 until their divorce in 1983.
