Nick Urata
Nick Urata (* 1967 ) is an American multi-instrumentalist , singer and film composer .
Nick Urata grew up as the grandson of Italian immigrants in New York City . After college, he moved to Chicago, where he learned about European musical traditions. In 1997 he founded the band DeVotchKa with friends in Denver , whose breakthrough in 2006 was their participation in the soundtrack for the film Little Miss Sunshine . Since then he has been in demand as a composer for film and television series.
In 2012 he received a BMI Film & TV Award for his work on Crazy, Stupid, Love. excellent.
