Nicole Hackett (born December 10, 1978 in Sydney ) is a former Australian triathlete , multiple world champion (1997, 1998 and 2000) and Olympian (2000).

Career

In 1997 Nicole Hackett became triathlon junior world champion in Perth and she was able to repeat this success the following year.

In November 1998 she became vice world champion in aquathlon and she was able to repeat this success the following year.

In 2000, Nicole Hackett started for Australia at the Summer Olympics, where she finished ninth. In the same year she became triathlon world champion of the International Triathlon Union (ITU) on the Olympic distance (short distance: 1.5 km swimming, 40 km cycling and 10 km running).

In 2002 she took third place in the Commonwealth Games in triathlon.
