Athletic career

In 2009 Nicole Hanselmann became Swiss champion in the individual time trial of the juniors. She has been under contract with the Swiss team Bigla since 2013 . In 2013 she also won the Tour of Bern , and in 2016 she won a stage of the Tour of Norway .

In 2017 Hanselmann became the Swiss road race champion and the following year the Swiss time trial champion

In 2019 Nicole Hanselmann started the Belgian one-day race Omloop Het Nieuwsblad . She was able to pull away and catch up with the men's field that had started ten minutes earlier. As a result, the race management stopped them and the entire women's race so that the two races did not mix. This decision by the race management met with a mixed response from the public. Hanselmann was then allowed to start with a lead, but this time her pursuers quickly caught up with them, passed them and reached 74th place.
