Niechłód is a village in Poland in the Greater Poland Voivodeship . The Schulz village is the oldest village of the municipality Święciechowa . The village is part of the Way of St. James in Poland.
geography
The village is located in the Święciechowa commune in the south-west of the Greater Poland Voivodeship. Święciechowa is about seven kilometers east, Wschowa in a south-westerly direction about the same distance.
history
The place was first mentioned in 1158 as the property of the Benedictine monastery in Lubiń . In 1570 Jan Leszczyński was the star of the then powiat Radziejowski . From 1778 to 1796 Ewa Zbijewska, née Neżychowska, owned Niechłóds. In 1920 Józef Bojanowski was registered as the owner and this remained until 1946. In 1807 Niechłód became part of the Duchy of Warsaw, which was newly founded after the Peace of Tilsit . After this was dissolved in 1815, the village became part of Prussia again. In 1919 the place became part of the re-established Poland . During the attack on Poland in 1939, the place was occupied by the German Wehrmacht . Since 1945 the place has been part of Poland again.
In 1885, 494 people lived in the village, in 2010 there were 413.
In the course of its history the place was named Niechlod, Nechlod, Nyechlod, Niechlov, Niechłódź and German Nicheln.
Culture and sights
The listed wooden All Saints Church from the 18th century is well worth seeing . The square church tower was restored in 1967/68. Inside there is a baroque altar with a picture of All Saints, which was also made in the 18th century. The crypt of the Junosz-Bojanowski family from the 1st half of the 19th or 20th century and a cemetery which was used from the 18th to the 20th century are still located on the church property. The church property is surrounded by a brick wall from the 19th century.
The second monument in Niechłód is the courtyard. The manor house, which was built between 1906 and 1908 by the builder Zygmunt Wilczewski for Maciej Siciński , belongs to it. This rectangular neo-baroque building now houses apartments and the headquarters of an agricultural company. The surrounding park of 3 hectares was opened in the 19th and 20th centuries. Niechłód is the intersection of several side streets. These lead in the northwest to Zbarzewo , in the northeast to Gołanice , in the east to Piotrowice and Święciechowa, in the southeast to Długie Nowe , in the southwest to Dębowa Łęka and to Osowa Sień . State road 12 runs south of the village .
The next train station is in Wschowa, seven kilometers south-west .
