Nierodzim (previously also Nierodzin ; German Nerodzim ) is a district (Osiedle) of Ustroń in the powiat Cieszyński of the Silesian Voivodeship , Poland .

geography

Nierodzim is located in the Silesian Foothills ( Pogórze Śląskie ) , on the Vistula , about 5 km north of the city center.

The village had an area of ​​about 430 hectares .

history

The place is in the Olsa area (also Teschner Schlesien , Polish Śląsk Cieszyński ).

The place was mentioned as Nerodzim in 1439 . The name is derived from the first name of the original owner Nierodzim .

Politically, the village originally belonged to the Duchy of Teschen , the feudal lordship of the Kingdom of Bohemia , since 1526 in the Habsburg Monarchy .

After 1540 under Wenceslaus III. Adam the Reformation and a wooden church was built by Lutherans. A special commission expropriated them on April 16, 1654.

After the abolition of patrimonial it formed from 1850 a municipality (with Bładnice Górne ) in Austrian Silesia , Bielitz district and Skotschau judicial district . In the years 1880-1910 the population rose from 578 in 1880 to 626 in 1910; there were predominantly Polish speakers (between 98.4% and 99.3%), also German speakers (10 or 1.6% in 1910). In 1910 57% were Protestant, 42.1% Roman Catholic; there were 6 Jews.

In 1920 after the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy and the end of the Polish-Czechoslovak border war , Nierodzim came to Poland. This was only interrupted by the occupation of Poland by the Wehrmacht in World War II .

Nierodzim was incorporated on January 1, 1973 with the city of Ustroń.
