Bładnice ( German Bladnitz ), actually Bładnice Dolne ( German Nieder Bladnitz ) and Bładnice Górne ( German Ober Bladnitz ), are two localities with a common Schulzenamt of the municipality of Skoczów in the powiat Cieszyński of the Silesian Voivodeship , Poland .

Bładnice is located in the Silesian Foothills ( Pogórze Śląskie ), on the left Vistula tributary Bładnica about 20 km west of Bielsko-Biała and 60 km south of Katowice in the powiat (district) Cieszyn.
The villages have an area of 291 hectares .
Neighboring towns are Międzyświeć and the city of Skoczów in the north, Harbutowice in the northeast, the city of Ustroń in the southeast, Kozakowice Dolne in the southwest, Kisielów and Godziszów in the west.

history
The village is located in the Olsa region (also Teschner Schlesien , Polish Śląsk Cieszyński ).
The place was first mentioned in a document in 1416. The name comes from the stream Bładnica , whose name comes from the adjective błotny , in German muddy .
Politically, the village originally belonged to the Duchy of Teschen , the feudal lordship of the Kingdom of Bohemia , and since 1526 it has belonged to the Habsburg Monarchy .
The village was divided into two parts in the 17th century (later Bładnice Dolne and Bładnice Górne ). Bładnice Górne was absorbed by Nierodzim .
After the abolition of patrimonial Bładnice Dolne (Bładnice Górne was in the municipality of Nierodzim) from 1850 a municipality in Austrian Silesia , Bielsko district and the judicial district of Skotschau. In the years 1880-1910 the village had about 210 inhabitants, all of whom were Polish-speaking. In 1910 70.1% were Protestant, 29.9% Roman Catholic. Bładnice Górne had 87 inhabitants in 1910, Polish-speaking (100%), 65.5% Protestant, 34.5% Roman Catholic.
In 1920 after the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy and the end of the Polish-Czechoslovak border war , Bładnice became part of Poland. This was only interrupted by the occupation of Poland by the Wehrmacht in World War II .
From 1975 to 1998 Bładnice belonged to the Bielsko-Biała Voivodeship .
