Niki Eideneier-Anastassiadi

Niki Eideneier (also: Eideneier-Anastassiadi ) Νίκη Αΐντεναιερ-Αναστασιάδη (born October 28, 1940 in Kilkis , Greece ) is a German-Greek neo -Graecist , literary translator and publisher . She is the wife of the Byzantinist and Neo-Graecist Hans Eideneier and ran Romiosini Verlag in Cologne from 1982 to 2014 . From 1985 to 1993 she was a member of the WDR Broadcasting Council as a foreigner representative .

Eideneier-Anastassiadi had studied Greek Philology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in the 1960s , then byzantine studies at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . Because Eideneier had been working for the Greek program of Bayerischer Rundfunk , which was active against the military junta in Greece , since 1964 , she was deprived of her Greek citizenship. Since the end of the 1970s she has been a lecturer in modern Greek language and literature at the University of Frankfurt am Main . Romiosini Verlag has ceased its work in German-Greek literature transfer since June 2014. The Center for Modern Greece partly took over the titles of the Romiosini publishing house and has set itself the goal of maintaining Greek and Greece-related literature (fiction, non-fiction and specialist literature) in German.
