Career

Nikolai Lemtjugow began his career as an ice hockey player in the youth department of the HK CSKA Moscow , for whose professional team he was active in the super league from 2004 to 2006 , after playing for its second team in the third-rate Pervaya league since 2001 . During this period, the winger was selected in the NHL Entry Draft 2005 in the seventh round as a total of 219th player by the St. Louis Blues . First, however, he stayed in Russia, where he ran up in the 2006/07 season for Severstal Tscherepowez in the Super League. For the 2007/08 season he was ordered by the St. Louis Blues to North America, where he was the following year and a half in the American Hockey League for their farm team Peoria Rivermen under contract.

During the 2008/09 season Lemtjugow returned to Russia, where he signed a contract with Severstal Tscherepowez from the newly founded Continental Hockey League . There he stayed until shortly before the end of the following season he moved to his league rivals Ak Bars Kazan , for whom he played in four games by the end of the season. In the following years he became a regular player in Kazan, where he started the 2011/12 season before he was transferred to HK Metallurg Magnitogorsk in November 2011 . At the end of the following month he moved again, this time to Neftechimik Nizhnekamsk .

From May 2012 Lemtjugow was under contract with Atlant Moskowskaja Oblast and completed 33 KHL games for the club before moving to HK Traktor Tscheljabinsk at the turn of the year 2012/13 within the KHL . With tractor he reached the final of the Gagarin Cup , then he moved together with Vyacheslav Below to HK Sibir Novosibirsk . In December 2013, HK Sibir exchanged him for Alexander Nesterow from HK Spartak Moscow . For Spartak, he completed eleven games by the end of the KHL main round.

After the 2013/14 season, Spartak withdrew from the game and Lemtjugow was signed in July 2014 by HK Avangard Omsk . For Awangard he was used in 21 games and played a few games for Sokol Krasnoyarsk at the same time , before he was handed over to HK Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk in December 2014 . In July 2015 he returned to Awangard and completed over 140 KHL games for the Omsk club by 2018.

International

For Russia Lemtjugow took part in the U20 World Junior Championship in 2006 , where he was runner-up with his team. He contributed to this success with four goals and an assist in six games.
