Nicolaus Dreyer

Nicolaus Dreyer (born April 21, 1921 in Bützfleth ; † August 13, 2003 in Stade-Bützfleth ) was a German entrepreneur and politician ( FDP , from 1969 CDU ). From 1963 to 1970 he was a member of the Lower Saxony State Parliament and from 1972 to 1980 a member of the German Bundestag .

Life

After attending secondary school and completing secondary school in 1937, Dreyer completed an apprenticeship as a wholesaler in the fruit, vegetable and tropical fruit trade in Hamburg by 1939 . On November 1, 1939, he became a member of the NSDAP , membership number 7.113.074. From 1939 to 1945 he took part in the Second World War as a soldier , most recently as a lieutenant in the reserve. He was used as a war participant in France and Russia. From 1946 he worked as an independent fruit wholesaler in Stade . In 1961 he took over the management of a fruit wholesaler in Duisburg .

Dreyer founded a citizens' association in 1955, joined the FDP and was mayor of the municipality of Bützfleth from 1956 to 1972. He was a council member of the Bützfleth community, from 1961 to 1972 a member of the district council of the Stade district and at times deputy district administrator. From 1972 to 1975 he was councilor of the city of Stade. From May 20, 1963 to June 20, 1970 he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament during the 5th and 6th electoral periods. Here he initially belonged to the FDP parliamentary group until April 14, 1969, when he left the FDP. On April 22nd he became a guest of the CDU parliamentary group and was a member of it since November 5th, 1969.

In the federal elections in 1972 and 1976 , Dreyer was directly elected to the German Bundestag in constituency 25 (Stade) , to which he belonged until 1980. In both terms he was a member of the Committee for Transport and for Post and Telecommunications.

Dreyer was also head of the Kehdingen water supply association from 1965 and a member of the NDR Broadcasting Council from 1970 to 1973 .
