Nina Kost (born April 17, 1995 ) is a Swiss swimmer specializing in short freestyle courses . It started first for Germany and since 2018 for Switzerland.

Kost was born in Switzerland and grew up in Heidelberg in Germany .

At the German Short Course Championships 2015 in the Wuppertal Swimming Opera , she won her first German championship title in the 100 meter freestyle in 53.71 seconds ahead of Helen Scholtissek (54.25) and Annika Bruhn (54.28). Over 50 meters she was second in 25.02 behind Dorothea Brandt (24.27) and ahead of Kerstin Lange (25.16).

The 100-meter time also meant meeting the standard for the 2015 European Short Course Championships in Netanya , Israel , to which she made her debut with her boyfriend, 2013 European Short Course Champion Philip Heintz . She then placed 15th in the semifinals over 100 meters freestyle in 54.24. In the German 4 × 50 meter relay, she finished sixth in 1: 47.53 minutes together with Doris Eichhorn , Caroline Ruhnau and Alexandra Wenk (Winner Netherlands, 1: 44.85). And in the 4 × 50 meter mixed relay relay, in 1: 39.32, together with Jan-Philip Glania , Marco Koch and Alexandra Wenk, even fifth place (winner Italy, 1: 38.33). Also in 2016 and 2017 Kost was German champion.

On August 1, 2018, Nina Kost made a change of nation to Switzerland. She started for Switzerland at the European Championships 2018 . In her first Swiss championship in 2018, she won seven titles. The law student lives in Winterthur.
