Nkomazi (English: Nkomazi Local Municipality ) is a municipality in the Ehlanzeni district in the South African province of Mpumalanga . The seat of the municipality is Malalane (formerly Malelane).

The municipality is named after the Komati River , which flows through the municipality. The community also has a share in the Kruger National Park .

The community is run by the African National Congress ; Mayor is Thulisile Khoza.

The population increased in five years from 393,030 (2011 census) to 410,907 (2016).

Of the population in 2011, 97.7% were black and 1.6% were white.

First language was 88% Siswati , 6.7% Xitsonga , 1.4% Afrikaans and 1.1% English.
