Bushbuckridge (English: Bushbuckridge Local Municipality ) is a municipality in the Ehlanzeni district in the South African province of Mpumalanga . The seat of the parish is Bushbuckridge .
The municipality is named after the administrative center, whose name means "ridge of the bushbuck ". Part of the community is located in the Kruger National Park .
The community is run by the African National Congress ; Mayor is Sylvia Nxumalo. In the course of the dissolution of the Transvaal Province in 1994, most of the current municipal area became part of Limpopo Province . After fierce protests, the community was finally added to Mpumalanga Province in 2006. The Bushbuckridge Residents Association has since become one of the few local political associations in the country with supra-local importance. She holds a seat in the Provincial Legislature of Mpumalanga and also takes part in national elections. Since 2016, she has held 14 of the 76 seats on the municipality's council.

The population increased in five years from 538,593 (2011 census) to 546,215 (2016).
Of the population in 2011, 99.5% were black.
The first language was 56.8% Xitsonga , 24.5% Sepedi , 7.8% Siswati , 5.4% Sesotho , 3.3% isiZulu and 0.7% English.
