Nonnewitz is a district of the city of Zeitz in the Burgenland district in Saxony-Anhalt ( Germany ).

Nonnewitz is located about five kilometers north of the Zeitz core town on the Maibach.
Unterschwöditz was designated as a district of the former municipality.
history
Bröditz was first mentioned on August 1, 976 as Villa Brodici , which was donated to the Zeitz diocese by Emperor Otto II . Nonnewitz was created in 1928 from the merger of the three villages Bröditz, Nonnewitz and Nixditz.
The grave of those who fell in the flak position of April 13, 1945 is located near Nonnewitz .
Together with Döbris , Geußnitz , Kayna and Würchwitz , Nonnewitz was incorporated into the city of Zeitz on July 1, 2009. The last mayor of the Nonnewitz community was Ralf Schenk. He was elected on February 17, 2008.
Economy and Infrastructure

Through the new construction of the Theißen bypass, the federal road 91 , which connects Weißenfels with Zeitz, now passes directly at the western entrance to the town. Trains to Zeitz / Leipzig and Weißenfels / Halle run from Theißen train station , which is about two kilometers away.
