Norbert Braun (born November 23, 1950 in Bremen ) is a German entrepreneur.

education

Norbert Braun was born in Bremen in 1950 . After graduating from high school in 1969, he first completed an apprenticeship at Hoechst AG (today Sanofi ) in Frankfurt am Main and then studied business administration in Göttingen (1971 to 1976).

Professional background

From 1976 to 1990 Norbert Braun worked as a product manager, marketing director or managing director in the following companies: Dragoco , Holzminden (today Symrise ); Blendax , Mainz (today Procter & Gamble ); Greiner Porzellangroßhandel, Medard (Glan) (managing partner); Ciba-Geigy AG, Frankfurt / M. (now Novartis )

From 1992 to 2009 he was managing partner ( CEO ) and later chairman of the board of Riemser Arzneimittel AG (today Riemser Pharma GmbH). From 2007, 40% of the shares were sold to the investors General Electric Finance, London and TVM, Munich . From 2009 to 2012 Braun was still the majority shareholder and deputy chairman of the supervisory board of Riemser Arzneimittel AG. Under the joint management of Norbert Braun and his wife Dagmar Braun , Riemser Arzneimittel AG developed into an internationally active and rapidly growing medium-sized pharmaceutical company. In 2012 100% of the shares in Axa Investments , Frankfurt / M. / Paris sold.

From 2005 Norbert and Dagmar Braun invest in the family holdings Braun Beteiligungs GmbH and Braun Hanse Holding GmbH and are their managing directors together with the children and external managers. The companies primarily hold over 20 majority stakes in the pharmaceutical sector (including Cheplapharm Arzneimittel GmbH , Greifswald , under the direction of the children Sebastian Braun and Bianca Juha) as well as in the food industry, food wholesale, mechanical engineering and asset management sectors with over 1000 employees.
