The German Reich took at the 7th Nordic World Ski Championships , which from February 22 to March 3. 1930 at Holmenkollen in the Norwegian capital Oslo were held, with eight skiers at the official FIS Competitions in part. Half of the participants came from the Bavarian Ski Association , plus athletes from Thuringia , Saxony and Silesia .

Ludwig Böck achieved the best overall placement with a 36th place in the Nordic Combined . Loisl Kratzer had good interim results with 10th place in the combined ski jumping and Willy Bogner with 20th place in the combined cross-country skiing. In the special cross-country skiing over 17 km Gustl Müller came 42nd, while Otto Wahl took 48th place in the endurance run over 50 km.

In the military patrol run , which is not part of the world championships , the German team, led by the Bavarian lieutenant Franz Raithel, reached fifth place. The two substitutes Eck andöffelmann were only used in the individual military races not described here.
