Nordic World Ski Championships 1930 / participant (Czechoslovakia)
The Czechoslovakia took part in the Nordic World Ski Championships 1930 at the Holmenkollen in the Norwegian capital Oslo in part with a delegation of 13 athletes. The athletes were almost exclusively members of the Czechoslovak Ski Association (Svaz lyžařů ČSR), while Willi Möhwald was the only representative of the Main Association of German Winter Sports Clubs (HDW) nominated for the winter sports week in Oslo.
In addition to three skiers who were allowed to start in both civil and military runs, there were also two athletes who were only intended for military skiing.
Norbert Lang from the Czechoslovak Ski Association acted as the sporting director of the delegation of Czechoslovak athletes. The ski jumpers were specially trained by the Norwegian Sigmund Ruud , who also actively participated in the competitions.
The best placements in the civil competitions went to Otakar Německý and Wilhelm Möhwald in the Nordic Combined with ranks 25 and 30. The Czechoslovak military athletes were very successful in military patrols with third place and Otokar Německýs second place in the military - cross-country skiing over 30 km .

Participant in the junior competition
In addition to the FIS competitions and the military skiing, a combined competition for 17 to 19 year old juniors was also held in Oslo . In this competition, František Šimůnek , Rudolf Vraná and Jaroslav Lukeš started from the Czechoslovakian Ski Association and finished in places 16, 18 and 25. Šimůnek and Vraná also took part in the special jumping event for seniors, Lukeš does not have any evidence of participation in senior competitions.

The team line-up in the military patrol run is not known. In addition to the patrol leader Otakar Německý, the following military athletes were also on the line for the winter sports week in Norway: četař Josef Trýzna , svob. Antonín Bartoň , svob. Viktor Roland and vojín Willy Möhwald .
